(MCR)matchless crowd racing GT-R demo car

Even if all eyes are usually on the "open class" demo cars, you really can't help but marvel at what cars like this MCR demo car are achieving under the "street" regulations. Arch rivals of Mine's the guys at MCR have built some pretty amazing cars over the years and this BNR34 is no exception.

Based around a V-spec this unmistakable red Skyline pushes out 650PS thanks to an HKS 2.8 kit and twin GT-RS turbines. Even more impressive are the 72kg/m of torque which come at a pretty high 6,100rpm but give some shockingly fast in gear acceleration. Wheel spin in third is all too common at these power levels...especially with s-tyres on wet roads!

Kobayashi-san, president of MCR, is a bit different from your normal shop owner. Unlike other tuners he does not employ professional drivers to race his cars on the track and at various events, but takes care of that job himself. A seasoned C1 racer Kobayashi has lots of experience in driving and setting up cars which is probably what has lead MCR to be so successful.

Shot of the engine bay. Nothing too dramatic, all the interesting bits can't be seen.

MCR GTR runs full Brembo brake kit, F50 calipers up front and Lotus calipers at the back.

the Defi super sports cluster same as Top Secret v12 supra. All of the engine performance n condition will show in just one set of this Defi meter.
Ultimate battle between MCR with Mines GTR which is also a monster level of street tuning GTR.

Japanese Nostalgic own By Smoky~~

Today our topic is about Japanese nostalgic car. Nostalgic means cars in Shōwa period (25/12/1926 - 07/01/1989) Hope all of you will like the article of vintage car ^^

With his nickname derived from his jones for enormous burnouts, Smoky Nagata is best known for two things. As founder and owner of Top Secret Performance Engineering Service, his mega-horsepower creations have graced the covers of countless tuner mags the world over, decked out in his resplendent trademark gold. Legend has it that before establishing his own shop, Nagata worked for another tuner but surreptitiously concocted his own projects during his off hours. Hence the name.

Behind the ballsy superhero bravura of Smoky the monster-maker hides Kazuhiko Nagata, a mild-mannered gentleman with a penchant for vintage Japanese steel. Downstairs and around back, out of sight from the massive centerpiece garage and warehouse lies a small covered parking area that houses some of his prized possessions. The path leading to the stairs of this alcove have classics in varying stages of restoration, neglect and hidden potential scattered about as well. Overshadowed by their horsepower-heavy modern descendants that made Top Secret famous, the nostalgics in Nagata-san's collection include a C10 Skyline sedan, a Datsun 410 Bluebird, a pair of Mitsubishi Galant GTOs and of course, the subject of this article, a 1975 Toyota Celica 2000GT liftback.

Found in a junkyard as a rusty heap, this RA25 Celica underwent an intensive six-month restoration process that would make Boyd Coddington weep. Upon retrieval from its deathbed, Nagata immediately whisked the well-oxidized body and frame off to Top Secret II: The Body Shop to reverse the severe weathering that had occurred over the years. Many of the original bits were too far gone, giving the Top Secret crew the perfect opportunity to replace them with trick custom touches.

While the car may appear stock, aside from its mean crouch and bestickered body, numerous clever yet subtle nuances endow this resto-modded Celica with the amenities of your typical daily driver. For instance, Bellof Spec Le Mans GT HID throw more lumens from the quad headlights than 1975 could have ever dreamed of. Likewise, one-off LED taillights have been matched perfecly to the genki five-bar rear treatment.

For a squad with enough talent to jam a V12 into the bay of a straight-six, an epic swap would have been pound cake, but beneath the custom fiberglass hood lies a chassis-correct twin-cam 18RG engine. Never one to leave well enough alone, Nagata and his crew have installed fuel-injection with an HKS F-CON V Pro management system fed by four individual throttle bodies with custom machined velocity stacks. The rest of the drivetrain remains stock, albeit rebuilt, save for an ORC single-plate clutch.

The pugnacious stance comes courtesy of Top Secret's own Super Dampers. Brilliant white 15-inch Rays Gram Light 57Cs wrapped in Bridgestone Potenza RE-01s harmonize flawlessly with the equally bright white paint job. Inside, an LED dome light reflects yet another unobtrusive modern upgrade. BRIDE racing seats hold asses in place while the driver grips a Top Secret steering wheel, but those matching rear cushions were custom-made by the company for Nagata's nostalgic ride. You can be sure Nagata gripped the Top Secret steering wheel tightly when he went on a recent 210-kph blast on Japan's renowned Wangan. In the English system, that's the same speed that got him arrested in the land that originated the measurement standard.
At its debut in this year's Tokyo Auto Salon, Top Secret gave this Celica top billing at its booth in the annual Japanese tunerfest, a space usually reserved for the sort of high-performance rigs the shop built its name on. It may be the first nostalgic called in for duty to represent Top Secret, but Nagata, in his humble demeanor utterly devoid of the brash arrogance one would expect of a speed demon felon, indicates that it won't be the last. We can only hope, Smoky

Top Secret Final Evolution V12 Twin Turbo Supra

Top Secret, one of the famous japanese tuning company in worldwide, had made this supra into their newest demo car & wangan machine. This supra had radical changes for its engine, platform, exterior & etc...

Smoky was tired of waiting for Toyota to announce the plans for the new Supra so he did it himself. Ironically, Toyota unveiled its FT-HS concept around the same time as Top Secret's golden child halfway across the world at the North American International Auto Show in Detroit. Toyota's concept is a hint at what the automaker might offer as either a replacement for the Supra or a next-generation of the model. With a 400hp hybrid 3.5L V-6, it's safe to say that Toyota went in a slightly different direction than Top Secret's double boost V-12.

The only hybrid thing about the Top Secret Toyota is how Smoky successfully mated a V-12 to a Supra. Consider that this engine is the same length as the original 2JZ-GTE Straight-6 with an additional bank of six more cylinders set in a V formation. Now add two turbos with all of the necessary plumbing and you wonder how it all fits.

Even more impressive than the swap itself is where Smoky actually sourced his V-12 donor motor. The engine is normally found in the Toyota Century. The Century is a $90k home market luxury sedan and in factory guise the 4,996cc 1GZ-FE makes a mere 276hp. Smoky added a matched set of HKS GT-RS turbines along with one of his seductively shapely Top Secret custom intake plenums with twin 80mm throttle bodies. One concession to the reduced real estate within the engine bay is with the placement of the cooling system.

The ARC intercooler is angled into the front bumper to make room for the V-12 but this leaves no room for the ARC radiator-it's in the trunk along with a massive fuel cell (alas, Jonny's bike will never fit in there). Each quarter window gives up a fine piece of glass to make way for custom ducts leading to the radiator with twin puller fans sucking the remaining hot air out through a vent in the rear bumper. No doubt a custom bellhousing was required to mate the factory JZA80 Getrag six-speed gearbox to the massive 1GZ. An ORC clutch and Cusco 1.5 way LSD will help put down the projected power to the pavement once Smoky completes the build. That's right, this beast is under construction.

Oddly enough there is not a big tuning demand for Toyota V-12 luxo engines and Smoky will be forced to create custom one-off internals in order to achieve the 1,000hp rating he wants for this car. Why 1,000hp? Because this is the number Smoky feels is needed for him to take this car to 400 km/h (249 mph). Unlike every other story in Super Street, I am not making this up. Smoky wants to one-up his CV35 Skyline, which ran 341 km/h (212mph) on Germany's Autobahn. That top speed prompted the 400 km/h goal for the Supra and the necessity for the 1,000hp rating. But you need more than just power to rocket up to almost four times the speed that Ricky's Accord cruises on the 405, you need aerodynamics.

In addition to big tuning and big motors, Top Secret is known for its big, beautifully sculpted aero kits. Because Smoky loves speed-scorching highway runs even more than tire-smoking burnouts he places a high-priority on high-speed stability. Each Top Secret aero kit is designed to offer enough downforce to keep the vehicle planted at high-speeds but not overly so to restrict the car from reaching those speeds. This same compromise is applied to the aero work found on the world's leading sports car racers such as those in Japan's Super GT series. But Smoky prefers a clean street-styled look over the harsh, angular, tacked-on feel of a GT500 machine. The Top Secret Super G-Force Wangan widebody kit for the Supra supports this design philosophy.

The 33mm front and 50mm rear over fenders blend artfully with the factory lines, but the Top Secret GT rear wing looks a little ricy. However, with 249mph speeds in store for this wing I'm sure it serves much more of a purpose than the bi-plane combat model atop the hatch of some Hot Import Rice tC. As part of the Super G-Force Wangan kit the headlights are the most polarizing part of the car. Some think them hot, others not, but no one can argue against the futuristic conceptual look these eyes give to the Supra, which is what Smoky was going for in the end.

The rest of the Supra is standard Top Secret fare with little more than leather-clad Bride Gias seats, Takata harnesses, a Top Secret wheel and a Defi Super Sports Cluster to complement the clean factory look that Smoky favors. The footwork is also pure Smoky-style with GREX stoppers and Top Secret coilovers equipped with the Roberuta Cup kit which offers in-car height adjustability. Finally, the Supra's shoes offer a new spin on things. The 19-inch Bridgestone Potenza RE050A tires may be some of Smoky's all-time fav' rubbers but the Volk GT-Fs are a new model finished in the Top Secret Exclusive gold.

With a $500,000 estimated value, Smoky is not sure whether he would sell this Supra or even build another if a customer makes such a request. But there's only one client who should think about purchasing this car and that's Toyota itself, if only to give it's designers the proper inspiration to take the next generation Supra in a direction it desperately needs to go.

Skyline...Stagea...truck??

Dear Motorsports, a tuning shop located at city of Fukuoka, Kyushu, has produced 1 of the most beautiful truck i have ever seen!!!

This tuning shop is based on Nissan Stagea, commonly referred to as the Skyline wagon because using same engine and platform with Skyline, this stagea has been evolved into truck by cutting decklid, C and D pillar. Also this stagea had some facelift work to change completely into Skyline look^^as well as some major bodywork such as remove back seat, roll bar, redesign new deck, 4 doors modified into 2 doors, etc...

Ultimately, all effort from Dear Motorsports mechanics and crews had paid out as they win Dress Up & Tuning Contest by Drift Tengoku at Auto Salon, CONGRATULATION for Dear Motorsports^^

Keep on Truckin' err... Driftin'

Cheap?....Check

FR drivetrain ?....Check

Plentiful?....Check

Light weight?....Check

Simple and reliable?....Check

Variety of engine swap choices?....Check

All of the above are characteristics of an ideal drift car, but in this case i'm not talking bout car at all=)the July issue of Drift Tengoku showed a couple Nissan mini-trucks that have been transformed into full fledged drift machines, and manage to look damn cool while doing it.

Built by Garage Miniz ,at Kitami-shi, on Japan's northernmost island of Hokkaido, these two pickups have been tuned in the same style usually reserved for Silvias and Chasers.

The Red truck is a '92 D21 long bed (Hardbody in the US) and is powered by an SR20DET (Silvia engine) with an AXB60 turbine. It is has massive suspension/chassis work as well, including a narrowed rear end, and S13 Silvia steering components. The ultra-low ride height and 18x9J and 10J Work Meisters complete give it an aggressive look on the outside.

The white truck, an '85 Datsun/Nissan 720 is even more extreme. It is powered by RB26DETT from Skyline GTR, and as if that wasn't enough the turbine is a single RX6, giving this truck a massive 600hp power output. The factory live axle+leaf spring rear suspension was ditched for that of an S13 and the brakes are from a Lancer Evolution. The radiator is mounted in the bed, along with a fuel cell and roll bar. The wheels are Work Emotion CR Kai.

I won't go too far into the technical stuff, but if you want to learn more, visit this website--www.garageminiz.com
